MIXED FEELINGS- Does it make life more meaningful?

They say that whatever comes to you with patience and in its own time is what is best for you and is destined, no matter how much you want it whenever you feel like. Life has been such a roller coaster ride, for many of us it would just be the start and for many it would not be the same. Mixed emotion can often be an important strategy in coping with negative life events or may be a lot of things going around. we don't have to feel good all the time in order to live a fulfilling life and that some bad feelings may actually be part of the process.

The main reason for being happy or being able to enjoy anything is living in this moment. You might get temporary feelings of happiness in doing some activity where you let go of your thoughts or when you accomplish something. Once you have accomplished something or stopped doing the activity that made you happy you go back to your mind, with full of negative thoughts. Analyzing everything, comparing it to some imaginary values that you think are normal or what humans should feel like for that matter. You will never know how  others experience this world so its useless to actually compare. only thing you can reasonably compare is your own past experience to your current situation. Of course you can compare external wealth and success but that does not equal with happiness.

Happiness comes from within. People think that they get a good relationship, a job, a new house or achieve anything in life they will be happy but with this kind of thought you derive pleasure only from comparing yourself to others thinking that I did good, I am normal, I am better than most people.

Learn to feel gratitude towards anything that you receive and what you already have . Enjoy everything as and when it comes in this very moment and don't live in the future as it is only in your imagination. Don't regret the past as you did your best at the moment. Don't compare your life to anything or you will misinterpret things.

Our brain is amazing isn't it?  they can take the thousands of smells, sounds and sights around us and filter them according to our individual tastes and desires. How does a mother hear her baby cry in the midst of many voices and noises? I don't know the scientific explanation of how this occurs, but I do know that we have a lot of power to train our minds on what to focus.

Train yourself now to focus on the positive and beautiful. Find the amazing beauty of your surroundings including yourself and those you meet. Immerse yourself in things around you and forget yourself in a project and goal. Be content and grateful  with what you have and where you are and you will always be happy. It takes practice. For some of us it takes a lot of practice.

Your brain will catch on and filter the good of you.
